What Does it Really Mean to Be Christian?

Complete Christian salvation involves not only forgiveness but also complete transformation through the Holy Spirit's power. We can not continue to live however we want after salvation.

We come to Christ as broken, and severely damaged goods. Once Christ comes into our lives we need to begin the move towards the next point in our spiritual journey. There is no sitting around, we have to move. If at some point we realize that we are not moving towards this point we need to look at our lives and ask ourselves what is wrong. A healthy Christian life is one that is on the move.

I watch many people walk in and out of church who are barely making it. They are doing the minimum, just enough to get by. They continue to live in the world and by its standards. This is not how God wishes us to live.

The purpose of this Blog is to start a dialog about the lack of Holiness teachings in our churches today. The teachings of holiness are obviously not being taught in some of our churches. If they were then we wouldn't have so many nominal Christians. We are told in 1 Peter 1:13 - 16, "Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written; Be holy, because I am holy." (NIV) Peter is telling us that a good Christian looks like Jesus. How long are we going to allow this downward spiral away from Gods requirements for born again believers?
